The ship shows its age, but the ports are amazing!
Embarkation

Painless and quick. I was surprised with how quick and easy the embarkation went. Priority Check-in was well worth it!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The food was fine; nothing spectacular, but not bad either. About the same as you would get at an all inclusive resort. Our daughter has wheat and dairy allergies, and they were able to accomodate her allergies well; she had one minor allergic reaction during the trip (most likely cross contamination on a buffet item).
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Piano bar was fun. Cruise staff were fun and friendly as well. Pool was way too crowded. Hot tubs were a nightmare with kids and people going crazy. Serenity hot tubs were much, much nicer, but also much harder to find a time. Water slide was broken a couple of days, which was disappointing for my daughter and the other kids in our party, but with this cruise, you're in port so many days, who cares about the onboard activities.
Entertainment

Shows were fun.
Children's Programs

Our daughter and our friends' kids really enjoyed the kid's and teen clubs.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Wonderful! I wish I remembered their names (it was over two years ago), but they were absolutely wonderful. Loved the lady who took care of our room. Waiters were fun and nice. Staff was fantastic.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
It's an old ship, and it shows, but the staff does a wonderful job of taking care of it.
Cabin / Stateroom

The room was great. It was a little crowded (which we fully expected), but it was still wonderful. I LOVED the balcony. I don't think I could cruise without a balcony (I spent every evening on the balcony reading and loving life). The bed was amazingly comfortable (that week is the best I remember sleeping my whole adult life).
Ship tip
Take magnets to hand tuff on your walls, an outlet extender so you can plug things in, and an over the door shoe hanger to organize stuff. Sign your party up with What's App and create a room for all of you guys to communicate. Then you can go with the cheapest Internet package and still be able to communicate. Go with friends, and have fun on the excursions (they were so much fun - loved the catamaran snorkeling trips).
Did the snorkeling catamaran excursion. It was a blast! The guides were amazing, the snorkeling spots were great, and the time on the catamaran was so much fun. We hit a beach with sea glass (which my wife loves), and collecting sea glass was a blast for all of us. Would definitely recommend this excursion.
Our daughter and I went swimming with dolphins, which is something I have always wanted to do. It was expensive, but so much fun. The Dolphin Encounter guides were great. All around fun time. My wife went with our friends to the beach and loved it. It almost made me wish we would have gone with them they had so much fun (then again, I got to swim with dolphins!).
We did another catamaran. The snorkeling here was amazing - absolutely loved the snorkeling. The boat time was fun (not as much fun as the first one), but the snorkeling was the best.
