I remember this trip. The sad thing wasn't so much that the crew wanted to get anxious people home. It was the very POOR communication and the manner in which everything was executed. It was obvious that the staff was not properly trained or prepared for such a situation. That's the true test of any company. Shame that trip have caused Carnival to lose future passengers

And shing I totally agree with you. I've had my ports changed in the past I r had them skipped. And I can accept that. But we was told in a group meeting by our cruise director st kitts and Antigua will be skipped because we have anxious guest that want to get home early. So the question was asked to the cruise director Is the ship, passengers, or the ports in any danger? He said NO! Then he was asked then why are we not going he said because the decision was made to get anxious guest home early. But I do agree with you

10year, there are many factors that go into the decision to alter a ship's course and itinerary. It can happen even in good weather. (Been there, more than once.) It helps to be flexible and have a good attitude if you're going to cruise. And when you accept your cruise contract you are agreeing to these sorts of changes. I hope you have a better experience next time.

Look up the path of the hurricanes and you will see that you would have been in the way of a hurricane. The ships can't move quickly out of the path. Be grateful that you were kept safe. Hurricanes are no fun to go through and I want to be at least a hundred miles away, and prefably more!

No whining and the storms was gone 100's of miles past those islands so just admit it after u seen the storms was gone you didn't really no how to reply because u have no idea what your talking about because you wasn't on the ship so stop trying to sound like you have a clue and get over it and move on with your pitiful life that u have to get on these sites and read and talk about things you have no clue about because you wasn't on the ship on the dates I'm talking about. 8:::::D

You say that but how much experience do you have as a ship captain? Or meteorologist? How many cases have you represented in a court of law? I'm sorry but you are alive and well (sort of). Stop your whinning and move along with your life.

Why did they try to bring you home early? Maybe cause the hurricane was on the way? Well the hurricane had done came and gone when they made us skip a port and leave one early so the boat and both Antigua and st kitts was in no danger or any passengers

Sailed from Port Canaveral.

I was on magic before irma. Yes they tried to bring us home early.

One thing I agree with the letter was not from the cruise director it was from the captain. But the hurricane hitting San Juan should not have changed us from doing a full day in Antigua and no stop in st kitts. I mean I'm sorry it hit there but if a storm hits say Florida would they bring us home early cause we was anxious to get home? And in my profile picture u can see part of the letter so before you start talking about things check your facts

The cruise director making decisions like that ... 🙄🙄🙄🙄don't think the captain would be happy about that if that's what you were told sorry total BS.....

hi is there any crew in fascination happen bad?

aharbison66    7 years ago

You keep posting the same thing! Wait for hurricane season to be over, then book a cruise before the next hurricane season starts!

banaford    7 years ago

Cruise director does not make decisions on cutting your ports. It is ALL up to the captain. That you would actually think the captain of the vessel would take direction from the cruise director is...crazy.

tdukes1993    7 years ago

*insert eye roll.... It most definitely had everything to do with the hurricane, but whatever.
