Could've been better, could've been worse

Sail Date: June 15, 2015

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

The Good:  Entertainment was good.  Staff friendly.  We had a grand suite with extended balcony which was exceptional.  Excursions were great even though they made a booking mistake and had to move our excursion in Freeport to a later time.  They credited us 25% of the excursion.

The Not-So-Good:  Small, older ship.  Food just ok.  Desserts barely ok.  Pool was so crowded it's like being in your bathtub with 3 people.  If you don't drink alcohol, don't bother with the soda package...you have to go to the bar every time you want a soda and you're treated like second class for it.  We should've just stuck with the lemonade.

Ship Quality
Ok for an older, small ship.
Food and Dining
enjoyed the "didja" feature of foods you probably haven't tried. The rest was comparable to Golden Coral/Red Lobster.
Service and Staff
Pablo our room steward was awesome!
Entertainment
Pretty good for this size boat.
Onboard Activities
Bingo, jewelry sales, pictures and shows. Pool is tiny & way overcrowded.
Destinations and Excursions
Even though is had some bad reviews, we tried the Sub adventure in Nassau and it was awesome. In Freeport we did the Beach and snorkel excursion. Again it was great even though they messed up the booking and had to change it to later in the day, they gave us 25% credit. Edward was a great snorkel tour guide. Also, there is a geocache at the beach if you're into that, which we are.
Cabin / Stateroom
SPEND THE EXTRA $$$. GET THIS ROOM!
Jacksonville, Florida
I live here. of course it's great!
Nassau, Bahamas
SUB excursion was great. forget those bad reviews it has, it's something you'll never get another chance to do. My wife is claustrophobic & she was able to do it.
Freeport, Grand Bahama Island
Beach and Snorkel excursion was great. Edward is a great snorkel tour guide.

Tip

If you can afford it, get the grand suite with extended balcony. Pool is too crowded to go to, but being able to lounge on our balcony and have room service delivered was so relaxing.
