Review summary
I gave this cruise and specifically the ship three stars because I have been on one other cruise to Key West, Belize, and Cozumel with another cruiseline (RC) and it was much more enjoyable. Carnival Fascination seemed like an older boat and didn't have as many fun emenities as hoping for. There was one small pool and waterslides. It would've been better with another larger pool since there were so many people around one area. There was no rock climbing wall, shuffle board, etc. The staff was very nice and personable. They used your names at dinner and they danced and sung. We had late dining at 8:15 and the food was alright but the meat seemed dry at times and not anything to really write home about. The crowd/age group seemed a little older with kids so it was hard for us to connect with people our age. The adult comedy was great and very entertaining and we went to one show on the last night which was motown music and it was enjoyable as well. We did some trivia games and other small fun things on the day at sea and went to the club in the evening but it was the type of thing were you do it once and its boring the next time. Ports were amazing we stoping in Nassau and Freeport, Grand Bahama we did excursions at both ports which I highly recommend signing up for. The Atlantis Dolphin Cay Deep Water Swim & Aquaventure in Nassau and Western Heritage & Snorkel Tour. The prices for drinks and photos were highly expensive for people our age and quite ridiculous if you ask me. The lines for the grille food and mongolian were crazy long to where you would be waiting 30 minutes- 1 hour for food. The easiest thing was the buffet but the times are weird that they're open and there is no midnight buffet besides one or two nights were they had mexican buffet till 12am. Our room had two portholes which was fine because we really only slept in there we were always out and about. Our sink wouldn't really drain but besides that the bathroom and room were fine. There was a cigarette smell at the end of our hall which was not pleasant. As well as when we were close to the port we would hear the boat getting ready to dock which woke us up once or twice. (We were at the front on main which is level 5) Overall, it was a relaxing and fun experience and the ports were the best part but I would choose a different cruiseline or at least a different ship.Ship experiences
