Review summary

I would recommend the Carnival Fantasy Cruise our of Mobile. We stayed in Mobile the night before we left and thoroughly enjoyed Mobile. Another plus was staying at the Marriott Riverview. They have a stay and park package that was great! I know the Carnival Fantasy is the oldest ship in the fleet but it was in very good condition. With it being a smaller ship there was never a wait for dining options and only a 5-10 minute wait for a drink. My only suggestion would be to avoid an excursion to Paradise Beach(all inclusive). There are plenty of other all inclusive resorts to choose from so do your homework.

Cruise Director was awesome! We went to 1 comedy show and one family game show and we all enjoyed both.

They were offered but our kids did not participate.

Carnival Fantasy is the oldest boat in the fleet; having said that the ship was in very good condition and very clean.

Don’t eat the week before you get on the ship!

We just went to the public beach instead of doing an excursion. It got a little tiresome telling all of the MANY vendors “no I don’t want to buy anything”.

We did the all inclusive excursion to Paradise Beach. The beach was a little crowded but my main gripe is that once you get there you can’t order from the restaurant or food truck on your own. You have one person who is assigned to you and when you want food or drinks you have to go through them. Also at the end of our excursion-when I was about to sign my ticket-2 waiters asked for tips! I was going to tip but I was very put off by that-felt like a shake down... Water and water toys were great.
