Review summary

The ship is old and run down. It's Carnivals oldest ship. They have been neglecting it. The foyer elevators don't work, only one outlet in staterooms, the outside looks a bit dilapidated. Staff on this cruise are hit and miss. Either rude dismissive employees or very nice ones. You have about a 50/50 shot. Entertainment is good, food is good.

To start off, our cabin steward was rude and lazy. I was tempted to take off his gratuities but I didn't. The first day, the room was still dirty when we checked in. Half full used water bottle in cabin, used towels...very short with us, asked for a simple cork screw, that was too difficult for him. Only one outlet in the whole room, and no refrigerator.

Ship tip

Go with NO expectations. This ship is very run down, the foyer elevators are broke down and not working. It is Carnivals oldest ship and they have been neglecting her. I think it's time for Carnival to retire it. A lot of the staff are short and rude with you. Be prepared to wait for everything. Room service, etc.

They need to retire this ship bad!!!! I been in this ship and the Ecstasy, both horribe outdated ships! Never again we will sail on them!!

I was on this same cruise with you and I agree. Go with no expectations. Although my room steward was great, much of the staff was not.

It's for sale says a lot! I heard about the health inspection. Will definitely not be sailing on that ship again. They need to get rid of a bunch of employees along with the ship!
