Review summary

I want my money back as we tried over and over to do with Guest services. Carnival has a real good scam going on here and basically holding people hostage and going where they choose to go and not where we PAID to go. I will NOT stop here with this review. I am contacting everyone about this. I am NOT a settle-for either. Settle for where ever someone decides to take me without my approval. I did NOT pay to go to PROGRESO! I PAID to go to COZUMEL!

Embarkation

Captain changed destination AFTER we left dock not giving anyone a chance to get off the boat. Carnivals Vacation Guarantee is a SCAM. They do NOT uphold it.

We did NOT go to COZUMEL as we PAID to do. We were rerouted to Progreso. NEVER AGAIN!

Disembarkation

They shut down 3 of the 4 elevators on day of disembarkment at 7:30 am. FIRE SAFETY HAZZARD! was told to go to Deck 9 for disembarkment and then after everyone was on deck 9 we were told to go to Deck 7 with only 1 elevator going. they created chaos.

I'm so sorry to hear that your cruise experience wasn't what you expected. That being said, be thankful that the captain chose safety. Their must have been some danger to passengers for a change of port. There can be reasons you don't know that will happen. Better safe. I'm sure the wonderful crew took very good care of you.

Ps in case of fire...all elevators are shut down and you have to use stairs. So not a hazard. I rarely used an elevator on the cruise. Stairs were more convenient.

LMAO!Yep,only Carnival has ever rerouted a ship do to weather.. Do yourself a favor and NEVER cruise again!

FYI Feb 28th Carnival Fantasy cruise was delayed in port for 5 hours due to extreme fog ~ Change of itinerary was necessary & announced at Embark for the 4 day cruise....

You agreed to possible changes in itinerary when you clicked agree on the cruise contract. I hope you don't just arbitrarily sign every contract you receive without reading it.

Typically the captain will reroute the ship for safety reasons due to bad weather and/or rough seas in a given port. Also typically announcements are made to that effect. This can happen on any cruise.

Must be a first time cruiser. Suggest next cruise you take to carefully read your cruise contract before you purchase your cruise. If you would of read you cruise contract you would of seen they can change your itinerary. Also, if you would of gotten off the boat as you stated yo want to...You would not receive any refund...Again it’s in your contract.
