With the cruise being reduced from 5 days to 4 and missing out on Progreso port plus the rough seas the first two days we were not happy at all. My husband, among many other passengers and staff were sea sick so it was very difficult to enjoy ourselves. Once reaching Cozumel we were able to have some fun there and enjoyed the excursion we did (San Gervasio archaeological ruins site, lunch and tequila tasting).
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was quick and easy. Purchased Faster to the Fun, which I think really helped.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Food in the buffet were not warm or hot as they should be. Main dining rooms the food was great. We purchased the Bubbles pkg and it really isn't worth it as you can only have one glass at a time (my husband drinks a lot of soda) and each time you have to flag someone down, give them your sign & sail card, wait for them to go get the drink, sign for it and then do it all over again once you've finished the drink. I only had a few alcoholic drinks and they were pretty good.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Unfortunately we had very rough seas causing many, many cruisers to be sea sick, my husband included so we did not get to do any activities, which was a bummer.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Even with cruisers and staff being sea sick we received excellent service from the ships personnel. Our steward was fantastic and remembered my name, which is difficult!
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Layout and design was okay. The entire ship could use a total upgrade.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Overall the room was great. Plenty of room to move around. It was always clean except the outside of the windows, which can't be helped, but defeats the purpose of having an oceanview room.
Ship tip
Eat in the main dining room. Go to all the shows you can attend. Have fun.
I don't feel the FTTF was worth it for the disembarkation as it took a lot longer than I expected. We had to sit and wait. However, the porter that met us and took our luggage to the pick up location was wonderful!
I've been reading that January and February cruises have rougher seas😬 I'm nervous. I've been on 3 other cruises and never got sea sick. So I'm hoping it's smooth sailing this time. I'm taking Dramamine with us just in case.
