Maybe we were just unlucky this trip. The ship was beautiful and the crew were great. The weather accounted partially for a lot of the negatives. With better weather conditions and a different cabin I think this would have been a great trip.
Embarkation

Fast paced and we felt herded but that was probably due to the fact they removed all previous check in times due to the delay.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The dining room food was fantastic along with the atmosphere. My favorite was the food at the Blue Iguana Cantina. The buffet was good not great. The pizza was enjoyed by a few of us many times.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Pool was closed half the trip. I'm assuming due to weather and sea conditions. The guys did enjoy challenging passerbys to ping pong. Outside top deck activities were blocked off as well. Two of our guys participated in a couple of the fun activities held by the cruise director, Marty. In all fairness the weather was not ideal for outdoor activities. Despite many people being seasick it seemed most people were enjoying themselves.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the guy girl singing group performing near the casino bar area. The late night comedian was very good. We didn't catch any other shows.
Children's Programs
No young children
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Room attendants always had a smile and kind greeting. Wait staff in Celebration dining room were friendly and entertaining. They always remembered our names. Customer service staff were friendly, not so attentive. Unfortunately, i had many reasons to contact them for the same maintenance issues resulting in injury. To be fair, day and night they had a line of people to handle. They weren't not doing their job they were just overwhelmed.
Ship Quality

The ship was beautiful and clean except for the first day when upon boarding boxes of maintenance debri were stacked in our hallway and linen had spilled out onto the floor. It was an obstacle course getting to our cabin. I must admit though it was cleaned by later that evening. The toilet in my cabin kept overflowing. Two of the elevators near our cabin were risky as to wether the would reopen once you reached your floor. Community bathrooms were closed off near most of the entertainment venues. My cabin door trim kept coming apart so I couldn't open or close the door. Dirt and debri rained down from the ceiling air vents in all 3 of our cabins. It definitely was not fully ready for passengers. It might have been a issue with just our cabin sections. Other passengers in our hall had similar complaints. Wasn't something that affected most of the passengers but did inconvenience some of us.
Cabin / Stateroom

Other than multiple big maintenance issues it was comfortable.
Ship tip
Although being an older ship the Fantasy has a lot to offer in entertainment and dining. The ship is holding its age well. Overall the staff and crew were great. It definitely is in need of some updates and interior maintenance.
Loved all of the historical sites. Unfortunately, we were there during govt. shutdown and a holiday so most touring sites and eateries were closed. I would definitely like to visit again.
It rained most of the day but a good time was had by all. We chose to do an excursion with local operators. We went to beach club on the North side of the island. We enjoyed the beach, fantastic food and drink, pictures taken and tequila tasting and still had time for shopping and they provided transportation.
We chose to carry our own bags off ship since this was the fastest disembarkation option. Not for us apparently. We should have been the second floor to be called but they skipped us until after they were calling passengers who need to colllect their bags on the dock. Since we late arriving there lots of people trying to get on and off the ship outside.
