Review summary

We love to cruise and this one was no exception - we loved it.

A couple of great things... the service was fantastic. From the room steward to the Main Dining Room, to the shop employees - everyone was friendly, smiling and helpful. Another great feature of this ship was Guy's Burgers. Even when the line was long, it didn't take too long to get served. And the burgers were quite good. The MDR for your-time-dining was very good, both as far as service and quality of food.

A couple of not-so-great things... the "broadway-type" shows were not up to the same standard we have come to expect on Carnival. Not terrible, but certainly could use some help. On the other hand, the comedy acts were very funny and enjoyable.

This is a good itinerary for those who like to really relax and be served. With more "sea-days" than ports-of-call, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the downtime that, in my opinion, vacation is all about.

Our cabin had the "pullman-type" beds that allow for two extra occupants but we did not appreciate this "feature". There was just us two and the design of the additional pull-down beds took up precious space that we would have liked to have.
