Review summary

We learned the valuable lesson of "you get what you pay for" aboard the Carnival Fantasy. It was our first cruise. The ship was smaller and much older than excepted. We were disappointed because our travel agent promised us an anniversary cake and champagne, but we never received it. Oh well. There was only one, small pool for children and adults. When went in it once, but left after we noticed the layer of sunscreen and other containments that lined the top of the pool. There is an adults' only area which was nice and relaxing. Not many dining choices but we made due. We enjoyed the late dining and the pizza. If we cruise again, we will select a different cruise line with a newer, larger ship.

The room was a decent size. We had a "king" size bed (two twins pushed together). There wasn't much room in the room but we weren't in there too much. Our cleaning staff, Joseph, was great. I swear the room was cleaned after every time we left.

Ship tip

The comedy shows are great! We definitely recommend going to every one. The ship is very small and old. If you want seating at a show, go early.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

The people of Freeport are amazing, however, the port itself is very industrial; not a tropical paradise.

Sorry to continue.... The vista the newest ship will be here in the fall of 2016. We were on the breeze and loved it. But always remember this.... It's not where you go or in this case " what you ride". It's who you're with!!! God bless

Don't trade cruise lines just because your travel agent made you promises and didn't tell you how to achieve them. Before you change you should take one more Cruise with carnival on the vista 2016 the magic or the breeze. You
