Review summary
We took this cruise out of Charleston because we got married in Myrtle Beach so it was only an hour drive to the ship. Overall we had a great time, however, there were two "at sea" days and that was really one too many. The ship isn't big enough and doesn't have enough amenities to spend two days entirely on the ship. We're also not really fans of Nassau, so we essentially spent 2 1/2 days on the ship as we re-boarded the ship pretty early the day we were at Nassau.
The ship also goes really fast as compared to other cruises we've taken so that made us a little sea sick the first day. Have NEVER been sea sick before and we have a pontoon boat so we're always on the water. Since it leaves from Charleston instead of Miami, it has to get to the Bahamas quickly and I guess that's why it goes so much faster?
We had a porthole room and usually stay in an interior room. I won't ever stay in an interior room again, the port hole was def nicer and roomier!
Their private island is a lot more "happening" than Norwegian Cruise Lines private island. I'd def recommend it if you have a group or a younger crowd. However, Norwegian Cruise Lines private island has an "adults only" beach which I really like too.
So overall we had a great time and would def cruise with Carnival again but prob a newer/more expensive ship if we're going to have "sea days"!

Ship tip
We sat at the front of the ship to dine outside. Otherwise you had to be by the pool to eat outside. We didn't discover this until the 3rd day.
