This was my 8th cruise with Carnival and it was the only one I wasn’t completely thrilled with. For a ship that just got re-furbed, there was a lot not working. The crew was nice, but the food was just okay. Don’t plan on using the HUB app too much. Of the 24 in our group, only 10 could get their phones to connect to the WiFi. Was this cruise better than being home at work? Absolutely. Was it on par with the others I’ve done? No.

Balcony Cabin U219 has 2 pull down bunks that we did not need or use. Beds were set up all wrong when we arrived, see pic of the room I added, but I moved them so each bed was under a bunk. This way both beds had a headboard lamp and faced the tv and it made the room feel much larger. The original way, only one bed was by a light and neither faced toward the tv.

I have done a lot of carnival cruises. I have platinum status. However I have to say this ship needs to think about where they are going. The food quality has gone down so much. The ship has gone down also. We never got service that was as bad as this ship. I know everyone says your cruise is what you make of it and we did have some good times as a family. My granddaughter did enjoy the pool and slides. We did have a great team at dinner. Thanks to Leslie and solvi. You were a good team and did make our dinner experience better. Not your fault that the food was not good. It was not carnival fault about the weather so not giving a bad review due to cold weather and the fog that delayed our ship on debarkcation. However after having a few cruises on Royal Caribbean before this ship I’m not coming back to you. Your food and service has gone down. From now on we will be on Royal.

The room was perfect, the food was good, and the entertainment was fun. Everything was great for a first time cruiser. Only problem we had was coming back to Jax Monday morning. The fog had us sitting off shore for about 4 hours. The Captain and crew was great. They fed us and had entertainment for the kids. I know it wasn't the Captain's fault about the fog. I give them a high five.

Cruise was great. Cam, the cruise director, is interactive, talented, and hilarious. He knew how to get the fun started and kept it going. We loved Sovi, the waiter/kitchen help.

Cabin U111 I cruised on the Elation back in March. I was not impressed. It was the smallest ship I had been on in a while and it was filled with Spring Breakers. Fast Forward to this past week. Gave the Elation another try (it’s 40 minutes from my house and convenient for last minute getaways) and we loved it. So happy we gave it another try during a different time year. Have already booked another one on her in February of 2019. Embarkation: Our boarding time was scheduled for 11. We arrived at the port at 10 and they asked us to come back at 11. Understandable because the parking lot is limited and they were still unloading passengers from the previous sailing. Left the port and went to the Wendy’s about a 1/2 mile from the ship. When we arrived back at 11, we parked, went straight through security and walked right on board. Probably the easiest check in we have experienced. Cabin: Grand Suite U111. Our room was ready when we boarded, so we dropped off our luggage and retrieved our Sail and Sign Cards from the mail box. The cabin was spacious but the bathroom was the smallest we have had with a Suite. There was a tub, however it was not jetted like other ships. Not that I use the jetted tub anyway, I just took note to share with you guys. Because of the layout of the bed for my son, we were able to have cleaning service only once a day and still utilize the living room seating without having to disturb his sleeping area. Food/Dining: it’s typical Carnival Cruise food. No complaints. The Buffet, Guys Burgers, Pirates Pizza, Blue Iguana Cantina... food was always fresh and the line was never more than 4 people in line when we went to eat. Dining room- we had your time dining, which we prefer and we were always seated right away. We did utilize the Brunch in the dining room and it was the delicious. Sushi Bar: it’s located on the promenade area right inside the casino. I would have preferred not to be so close to the smoke, but the sushi, as always some of the best I have had on a cruise ship. Children’s Club O2: this was my sons (13yo) 5th cruise and he said he loved the kids club. They kept the activity schedule packed and when they were closed, there were kids in line waiting for it to open. Activities: This Fun Squad was the best. We loved Trivia with Emily. Cam is the Cruise Director and he is so engaging, approachable and full of energy. He is hands down the best Cruise Director we have had. Bar staff: Love the Atrium Bar and Staff (Steven, Mary Grace and Amie) - only wish the seats were more comfortable. Debarkation: We were held out to see because of Fog and did not reach port until 2 pm to debark. We sat in the Showroom all morning waiting till we were able to get off the ship. We vacated our cabin early and did not hold it up, so our Steward could do her job and get the room turned around for the next guest. The ship staff tried to make everyone as comfortable as possible, getting the guitarist out of bed to play in the atrium. Extending breakfast times, then opening Guys Burgers for lunch. In the Showroom they showed America’s Funniest Videos on the Screens. It was a 2 hour show... we watched it 4 times (it was on a loop). I don’t ever want to watch AFV again. Lol. When it was time to debark, they took you off floor by floor. If you had priority disembarking, it did not matter. After we made it off the ship, were quickly went through Customs and were in our vehicle. The Crew did the best they could.

Quality of food and service was subpar. Carnival has gone down from years back.

This was my third time cruising with Carnival, and it did not disappoint. I didn't have a single thing to complain about, it was a great time, and can't wait to go again.

We had a great time but the boat rock a lot . We will take the ship again and have fun at lots and lots and lots of fun food was great drinks were great activities was great the atmosphere was great the sun was great Cruise director Cam was awesome

Great cruise, great staff, great food and met some great people! Loved the casino bar staff, some of the best! Guys burgers are the best and the breakfast omelets ate to die for! Would go again!

Had a grt time but our room Stewart seth was worthless..food wasn't the best , got sick from main dining room, but we loved spending time together with friends and family. Loved the shows. Except the magic show ..

I really enjoyed the cruise. Especially the hospitality of my room keeper. I did not get her name but she was a very short lady with long hair. She was always nice and me and was willing to help me at any time that I needed assistance. My cabin was U19; and that meant a lot to me. Thanks. I wish that I had gotten her name.

The cruise director, Cam, was awesome! The only disappointment was our room steward. In reality my expectations were probably set too high based on others comments. I would say our room cleaning and communication with him was average. Nothing special (except a daily towel animal) but nothing wrong either.

It was a a great cruise! I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation.

We went thru Hurricane Michael and lost everything. Had no way to get birth certificates out of wreckage. We called and was told we could just bring our Florida drivers license. However when we got there that was not the case. They didn’t care that we lost everything in the hurricane and really needed to get away from the devastation for a few days. They also said we could not get a refund for the trip. We rebooked a cruise on Carnival a few days later for a western Caribbean but we had to pay for that one too. Will not go Carnival again!!!!!

We had a great vacation that was very much needed.

We were on the Halloween week cruise and It was amazing! My only real complaint was the first night dinner didn’t go smooth at all. We were the last to leave the dining room due to slow service and bringing the wrong food. My brother ordered the Chocolate melting cake with a side of peanut butter and didn’t get it in stead he got 3 orders of butter pecan ice cream. Hahahahaha The head waiter told us it was our servers first day. It wasn’t much better the second night so we skipped the next 2 and then it was perfect on the last night! Other then that it was awesome! Unlike my wife I prefer the smaller ships and the Elation didn’t disappoint!

We had an awesome time on this ship during the first Halloween La Lido Loca group cruise! Meet and hung out with a lot of new friends! We can’t wait to do it again.
