Review summary

A poor experience with this booking agent. Got the run around and after I was told a refund was coming they still haven't provided it. Be aware when booking.

Embarkation

Very smooth and efficient

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Buffet's were good. We only went to the main dining room twice. If you weren't drinking alcohol we were only offered water. Our second night after sitting for 55 minutes we only had a piece of bread and an appetizer. The family of 4 next to us arrived after us and were finished their entire meal before we got our main course. We were running late to the show so we skipped our desert. They didn't even offer tea or coffee with desert.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the pools. One hot tub wasn't working but those things happen.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the shows and performers.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room attendant was great. We don't drink and therefore didn't receive bar service other than ice water but they were very kind.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Layout was choppy. You could see it was an older ship. But we figured it out after a couple of days.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was a good size. We used it to sleep at night so it was plenty big. It was kept nice and clean and service was great.

Ship tip

I would tell someone that if they are not using the drink package to go to Guest Services and ask to opt out of the automatic tips and leave tips to those who provide service to you. We did and I appreciated that they took our tips off our bill. I would also tell people NOT to book through this agency. We were offered a $50 onboard credit that turned out to be only $25. And before boarding we received a call that there was going to be a refund due to Carnival's price drop. $145 which we still have not seen and after calling 2 or 3 times they are not responding.

Ports of call

Jacksonville, Florida

4 out of 5
We stayed in Jacksonville for 2 nights before cruising. Loved the beach, shops and restaurants and only 20 mins from TPC Sawgrass.

Bimini, Bahamas

4 out of 5
No excursion. The public beach is right in front of the dock and it was beautiful. Spent the day on the beach and it didn't cost us anything. Went back on the ship to eat. Great stop. :)

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
No excursion. We found them to be quite expensive. We stayed on the ship while everyone left and it was extremely peaceful after a few days of crowds and noise. Very enjoyable.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
A little confusing. They had 2 options for leaving. If you were carrying your luggage off we were supposed to be leaving early. But that didn't happen. Our stateroom attendant told us if we had our own luggage we could walk off. But when we tried we were told to wait.

Your prepaid gratuities are for much much more than the drinks you order ! So many behind the scenes that you never come into contact with that work their tails off to make your cruise enjoyable!!!!!!!

Appreciate your detailed feedback. Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations. As already mentioned, you can ask for ice tea or lemonade would dinner at no additional cost. After dinner coffee or tea are also at no cost. But you must ask. You can order “soda” at cost with dinner. Hope you find what you’re looking for.

I'm not going to comment on you removing tips....I don't agree with it, and it's wrong. as far as the mdr, you only get water, everything else you must purchase or you can get lemonade for free, just have to ask. coffee and tea, you also have to mention that to them when you order
