Review summary

this was a getaway for us but, I thought this time would be a quieter cruise. I was wrong it had a lot of kids on this cruise. enough that if you wanted to use the hot tub, only in the adults only area, did you stand a chance to.

very speedy, we were hit by the upgrade fairy so we were in a suite( our 1st ).

main dinning was good,we ate our evening meals there. for breakfast we used one of the buffets. lunch was where ever we felt like it.

Onboard Activities

on this cruise we attended the shopping show just to sit and watch. only 8 people showed up. they gave away 7 or 8 items. we won 2 different shirt. 1 was a Sol and 1 was a bamboo ( now that shirt is great I will be buying more)

our cabin steward was surprised the 1st time she went to clean, she thought someone else already cleaned our cabin. my wife is a little OCD.

it is a good ship i would sail her again, if she is going somewhere i want to go.

it was an obstructed view, but you can see clearly the ocean and most things going on outside.

Ship tip

just know that this is an older ship and somethings may not be availible as on new and larger ships. ex speciality dining. guy burgers is there and the the blue guana cantina, most are there.

Lots of schools have fall break in mid-October near Columbus Day. If less children on the ship is desired, try cruises longer than 7 days or cruise with Holland America, Crystal, Symphony, Seabourn, Regent Seven Seas or Viking.

Cruise was good except for the rocking & swaying made you feel drunk so I couldn’t drink & we bought the cheers pkg so we could do that .. It was a waist of $517 for us .. the excursions were great we loved them .. the food & people were great also .
