Review summary

As a first time sailer on Carnival., I was dissapointed. I did not see the fun ship that was advertised. We were just kind of hearded along and seemed to be in the staffs way. First and last trip on Carnival. I would rather stay home.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Best part of the trip was the speedy process of boarding.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Buffet was plentiful but tastless overall. Dining rom service was slow and entrees were very small.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Shows, comedy and dance were lackluster except for the adult versions of the comedy show which were good. Pools were so crowded we could not get in. Pool was closed one day we were at sea.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Not very good. I heard one singer who was good. The rest were mediocre at best.

Children's Programs

2 out of 5
They went one time and asked not to be taken back. I think they wre more dull than being with us.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Room steward was nice and friendly but did not vaccum at all and came only twice in the four days. Food service staff seemed not interested in doing their jobs. Refused when you asked for more french fries or just ignored you.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
It seemed old and outdated but was pretty clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Small and cramped and was only cleaned twice.

Ship tip

Keep your expections low this is not a fun cruise. Stay out of your stateroom as much as possible.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

4 out of 5
Just took a taxi to beach and shopped. People were nice and lots of goods for sale.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

4 out of 5
Took a taxi and again people were nice and shopping was good.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Handicapped persons were not given any assistance. Had to wlk long ramps without assistance. Others just on your own while staff just pointed the way.

I was on the Elation September 30th and it was very clean. No complaints from me. I did not eat the buffet but the MDR staff were fantastic and the food was great.

Well, you got your wish and you are home now. Those older ships are actually less crowded than the newer ones and the pools are always packed, no water what size ship.

You went on one of the oldest and smallest ships in the Carnival fleet. Choose a bigger ship and the experience will be entirely different

Maybe research your ship a bit, or pick a different type of vacation. Cruising is probably not for you? 😎🛳😎
