Review summary

I am a Carnival Cruise Line fan! My past cruise was my fifth Carnival cruise. When I think of Carnival, the first thing that comes to mind is FUN! This cruise was anything but fun. Kevin, the cruise director was the worst cruise director by far that I’ve experienced. His personality is dry and boring. He did not create an atmosphere of fun. Because he was dry, the staff in turn took their cue from him. They were not as friendly as the Carnival staff usually are. There are usually people walking around with drinks. On Elation you had to hunt the servers down, or either go to the bar. The lady Jessica, who conducted the muster drill on the Lido deck was rude. She spoke to us as if she was a drill Sargent. When you spend your money on a vacation, you expect to have a good time. I was extremely disappointed in the Carnival Elation and its staff.

Ship tip

Don’t expect your cruise to be as fun as your previous Carnival cruises. The cruise director is extremely dry. You have to create your own fun.
