Review summary

For a quick getaway, it was great. I would have liked for there to be more variety when it came to food and entertainment. During the day it seemed like there wasn't enough bars open or staffed. (Always took a while to get a drink) Service from staff was amazing!

Embarkation

The ship had been delayed due to fog so that caused a backup the rest of the day. We arrived at the port around 11 and didn't get on the ship until after 1:00 pm. Not terrible since we didn't have our kids with us, but we still had to wait.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room service was excellent. Food was good, nothing too spectacular but decent. The burger bar and Blue Iguana were awesome. There was always a wait for the food but it's definitely worth it! I was a little disappointed with the Lido Deck (Tiffany's) buffet. Not enough variety and some of the food wasn't hot. Always a long wait at the pizza bar in the back.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We did a few games while on the ship. Took a while to get setup and started. Fun Ship Host claimed largest crowd ever there for a game, didn't know what to do. We did the water slides when they were open and they were fun.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We saw the two theater shows, Divas and Rock. Both were enjoyable. Liked the Rock Show more for style of music and effects.

Children's Programs

No children this cruise

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone we came in contact with was very friendly and greeted us.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
For an smaller, older ship with recent upgrades on the top decks, it was good.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
For my wife and I it was fine. Little on the small side but we were never in the room much. Room was clean and we enjoyed the awesome water pressure (hot water too)!

Ship tip

We liked to sit by the back of the boat on Deck 11 or 12. Close enough to the Deck 10 Tiffany's buffet and bar. Never had a problem finding chairs back there. Mid-ship pool area always seemed crowded.

Ports of call

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island Did not visit port

We didn't book a shore excursion here. Very industrialized port, not appealing on the eyes.

Nassau, Bahamas

You get asked over and over and hair braiding and taxis, but once you get through the first area, it's nice to just walk around. We walked to a beach that was close by, went through the Hilton to get there just to see the beach and take pictures. Went shopping and enjoyed a drink at Senor Frogs. Had a great time there. The staff played several games and got everyone in on the action! Good times!

Disembarkation

Fog delayed the ship from coming in to port until 12:00. We didn't get off the ship until after 3 pm. They had shut down everything at that point so it wasn't a pleasant experience waiting around.
