Review summary

Although this was an very good deal for the money/days on board, food choices were limited (not much variety);  the food was not very "hot" when served (even from the buffet);  we had problems with our toilet and shower drain; servers were not very good at picking up items in areas and we would even say over-staffed if they had time to talk to each over, view phones, etc.;  2 of the 3 ports were not very appealing as a tourist.  On the plus side, bed/cabin were comfortable; friendly staff; couples massage was very relaxing; seemed to be very organized and on schedule, private island was fantastic and lunch was included, I even received 2 special birthday surprises!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was not "hot", same choices daily

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
good to have something else to do at any given time.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
usual entertainment however no one was available to fix the computer the 3 times it "hiccuped". I will note that we felt the "movie" should have had popcorn, treats.

Children's Programs

N/A

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Per usual, the cabin staff was great, but above, it seemed over-staffed as staff was wandering around with phones or chatting with each other

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Design/decor themes could use some updating. Cleanliness could be more aggressive in main areas.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Except for the 3 issues in the bathroom and the bathroom needing an update, our cabin was clean, very well kept by our cabin master.

Ship tip

Even if you don't think you want to get off to buy anything...it is worth getting off the ship and exploring. At the very least you will make a new friend! Also, when making friends on board, ask if they have ever been on that ship or port. They might have great tips

Ports of call

Jacksonville, Florida Did not visit port

We didn't think about adding a day to explore.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

3 out of 5
Weather was rainy...however it didn't look very appealing from the ship.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Didn't look too appealing from the ship but we walked about 2 miles to a nearby beach one of the other passengers told us about to explore.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
This was our favorite stop on the trip...water and beach are beautiful. We rented a "clam shell" to cover up from the sun and only wish we could have gone out earlier in the day.

How was the Beef Wellington? If your experience aboard her was anything like mine, I'd like to know. See for yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4b7VSZOlei4&t=184s

this is the carnival elation out of Jacksonville. Nassau and Freeport are the ones that are not that great.

I'm curious which cruise you were on and which ports were not very appealing?
