Evening Waiter Service - Below Average except for Jay

Cabin Steward - Ysofin - Very Friendly

Cabin Condition - Lots of dust in the cabin and lots of hair in the bathroom

how is embarking and debarking better now, we leave in a week on the Elation and have elected 12:30 pm as our time to board. Do you have any advice on things to take or not take ( not our first cruise, but first on Elation) Thanks

I agree the new embarking and debating system so much better than in the past

I've been on both the boats that currently port out of New Orleans: Dream and Elation. The Elation's rooms needed updating and food options were less. Loved the Dream though, it was newer, bigger, nicer, and had more food options. The Elation is going to be switched out of the New Orleans port for the Triumph soon. The Triumph seems to be more comparative to the Dream.

If the Elation was your first Carnival cruise, give them another chance on a different ship. We took our 7th Carnival cruise on the Elation a few months ago and had that been our first, we would have been iffy about going again. Taking our 8th in 12 days and we have no worries as it will be our 3rd time on the Dream. The Elation is just a below average ship. Most of the crew is great, but the ship is lacking.
