Review summary

our room was cold every night. Had to have extra blankets. They said they couldn't do anything about it as long as it didn't get colder than 69. they said when they checked are room it wasn't any colder than that but as the night went on it got colder and colder. We complained 3 times but didn't do any good. It seemed like all the wanted to do is sell us stuff. Just to play bingo it cost $20. Our room was very run down it reminded me of a 2 star hotel. The closet door stuck and paint missing off of door, bath tiles looked dirty The day we got ready to leave we went to weight our suitcases with a new scale I bought I noticed it has a thermometer on it so we check the temp. it was way lower than 69 degrees.it was 65.2 and that is after the sun had shown through the window for a couple of hours. I have attached a picture of it. Also we was to get a $25 credit for the boat but we didn't

We just got back Saturday and some of ppl had the opposite happen. Their room was hot. And they wouldn't do anything. We all took fans so it helped in their room. We had 5 cabins. 3 of the 5 had newer flat screen tv's the other 2 had OLD TV's. That barely worked. They should replace all of them if they are going to replace them.

Thanks JusMe. We were on the Celebration in 1990 and the Triumph in about 2001 but couldn't remember if those ships had a thermostat either. Wonder if the vent adjustment would have helped them or if they even tried.

The Elation is a Fantasy Class ship.   They do not have thermostats just a adjustment on the vent for how much air it lets in to the room.  I have been on 3 of its sister ships none had thermostats.

Sorry about the cold and never sailed on the Elation but was there a thermostat in the cabin? The ship is 18 years old so you can chalk your first cruise up to a learning experience. Maybe try a newer ship next time. The crew should have came to the cabin and took a temp of the cabin to resolve your complaint. If it was me, I would have been at the service desk until they fixed the issue. Hope your next cruise is better... ;)
