Review summary

For a first time cruiser it wasn't a bad experience. The seasickness was though. The funday at sea was the worse for me because I was pretty much sick the entire day.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Being a first time cruiser I expected for it to take forever especially traveling using a birth certificate but we were on the ship within 20 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
There was a great variety of food to choose from.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Plenty to do (Mini golf, pool tables, ping pong, giant chess, shuffleboard, pools, slides, etc.) but the winds kept us from being able to do some of it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was very friendly.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
There was a smell in the main atrium as others have stated. The layout of the ship is pretty simple to navigate.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was a little roomier than I expected.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
We did no excursion because we had researched the area and decided to walk to Junkanoo beach. It was beautiful and the straw market is a must. The people there is very pushy and aggressive in trying to get you to purchase things from them.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

4 out of 5
Make sure to book an excursion or there will be nothing you can really do. We did the beach getaway with open bar. It was perfect for us.

Jacksonville, Florida

4 out of 5

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Took a little longer to disembark than it did to embark. But it was not terrible.

Thanks for your review, sorry about the sea sickness

@Melissa we brought Dramamine too our first cruise and it didn’t help. We stick with Bonine now. Bonine works great! I have to stock up on it when I see it weeks before the cruise, because it sells out quicker than the other brands (in my city at least).

I’m sorry to hear about the sea sickness but I was the same way when we went on that ship nothing helped me feel better Dramamine, the patches or the bracelet. Thankfully that’s the only one I’ve ever felt that way on. We moved on to bigger ships and I have been fine ever since

Try the sea sickness bracelets. That's what we got because my son and grandson had the same problem. Once they got the brackets life was good. Both Walmart and Walgreens carrys them over the counter. Well worth the 10 bucks

We brought dramamine but it just didnt help. My daughter tried the acupressure bands and the oil from the gift shop too. Out of the five of us the 2 we thought would be sick was fine. It was her and myself that got sick.

Glad you enjoyed it. It’s always a good idea to bring something for seasickness, just in case.

It was an excellent experience whether or not I was sick.
