Review summary

I was very disappointed. Shame on you Carnival for ruining out Thanksgiving. Try updating and remodeling this ship. At Thanksgiving people like to enjoy Christmas decor and seeing it go up as we were leaving was disheartening

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Buffets were terrible, restaurants were decent

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Pool stayed so crowded never even thought about getting in. Never was able to use hot tub either. That many people and that small of water activities is kinda ridiculous

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Very disappointed in the comedians! Had fun in karaoke bar

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Absolutely no complaints. As always top notch

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
It was clean but the sewage smell was horrible the entire time! Y'all tried to put to many people on this small ship and what made it worse was no Christmas decor until we were leaving the boat

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Clean, decent but twins beds put together were not comfortable try a mattress topper at least

Ship tip

Don't do it! Pick another ship

Ports of call

Jacksonville, Florida

Loved our excursion to Alantis. The port was fun

Disembarkation

We stood around waiting for hours before being able to leave. When we were finally allowed to go up the line wrapped around the whole boat damn near

We went on Christmas cruise beginning of December last year with group of 14. Food wasnt good, room not updated and not great no remote for tv until last day. Just overall underwhelming. We made the best of it but take the bad reviews of the ecstasy seriously. Ive been on 7 cruises and 5 different ships the ecstasy was our least favorite and not because of size. If driving in go a little further to Charleston and take the sunshine uts 10 times better then the ecstasy actually anything is better then the ecstasy.

You sound as fun as Hemorrhoids... Cruising is probably not for You. Go back to Motel 8 vacations... They'll decorate the lobby for You.

I hope maybe you did get a little enjoyment. I sure wouldn’t let the fact of no Christmas decorations on a Thanksgiving Cruise get me upset.

Research, research, research. Most negative reviews are from people who did not do their homework before booking their cruise.

You were on a cruise for Thanksgiving which means you did better than 99.9% of us.

We had a blast on it in 2013 Should of researched better and picked a bigger new ship

This ship is going to be updated next year.

Sorry you were disappointed, but ruining Thanksgiving seems a little overstated. Of course the pools were full, more families cruise over Thanksgiving. Carnival posts a schedule for decorations, so if that’s what you want you can know before you go. There are probably an equal number of people who would be upset if the decorations were up already.

This is an older ship on a short itinerary primarily aimed at first time or budget conscious cruisers. Try a newer ship on a longer itinerary for a better experience. As far as the pools and hot tubs being crowded, that is an issue on most cruise ships. As far as Christmas decorations, most people and companies put those up just after Thanksgiving, so that is not unusual. Just because retail stores start pushing Christmas right after Halloween or sooner doesn’t mean most people want to see it until after Thanksgiving.

I thought it was great. We went on her in Sept (our very first cruise). We're going on her again next month. I'm fine with no Xmas decorations on a cruise ship in November. We have a tree at home 🏡. Kinda evens everything out.
