The dining room was always 5 star. Buffets vary between 2 and 4 stars. Daughter loved pizza bar! Hery knew how to make a great appletini and all of the bar staff were very nice to my daughter when she would ask for a soda, juice etc.

Loved the shows and the cruise director. One burning question though when does Gary sleep!?

Daughter did not like the programming. She felt it was a lot like day care as opposed to an adventure camp experience. She much preferred hanging out with us.

Service and staff made the whole vacation perfect! We had some issues with my mother's medical needs (scooter and oxygen). Teo Martin in guest services made everything perfect! A big shout out to him! Dining room staff awesome! Catherine, Hanafi, Carlos, Rollan, Luis all great! Saman and his team are completely top notch. Our room was always tidy and my daughter was always excited to see what towel animal was going to be in the room each day. All the bartenders we interacted with were great.

The only bad thing i can say is they served burnt hamburgers for the lunch cookout! Everything else was great! Ozzy and his partner with the clear bottom kayaks were fantastic!!

We did the dolphin experience at Balmoral which was fantastic. Our only issue with this excursion was the prices the resort charged for things once there. $117 for a CD of pictures $25 for a conch fritter meal $3 for a bottle of water. We spoke to another couple who had been there with their granddaughter a few weeks prior on another Carnival cruise they stated their prices have risen about 30% since their last visit. and were equally as shocked While we understand this is beyond your control and don't hold you accountable for their pricing we were very shocked to be so badly fleeced and wanted you to be aware.

Thanks for the ship review. We sail on the Ecstasy January 6, 2019! Wasn’t sure how an older and smaller ship experience would be, but after reading your review, I am excited and think we may enjoy a smaller ship for a change. Much appreciated 😃

We justbgot off and did anytime dining for 8 and only had to wait one time for less than 5 minutes to be seated. Every other time we walked right in. If that answers any questions?

Thank you for the review! We sail on the Ecstasy Sept. 3rd. This will be our first smaller Carnival ship, nonetheless, we are beyond excited. 😊
