Overall we had a nice cruise. The weather could have been much better. And again, I would NOT recommend going on a cruise during Spring Break with all the college Students on board. It just made it very hard to enjoy the serenity deck, hot tub and pools.

Embarkation was awesome. Everyone was very friendly and getting on the ship went very quickly and smoothly. Our luggage arrived to our stateroom at a good time.

The main dining room was nice. Not very fancy but nice. We were disappointed that you had to pay extra for Lobster and Steak. On the Independence of the Sea with Royal they did not charge for Lobster or Steak in the main dining room.
Onboard Activities

Honestly for Carnival being known for a party ship we felt it did not offer a lot to do on the ship. Maybe it was because the ship was an older ship. We were disappointed that there weren't more fun shows to see and experience during the day. Also, the hot tubs in the serenity area were taken over by college students. Next time we wouldn't book in March due to Spring break. But I can say this, many other older passengers over the age of 30 were frustrated as the college students took over the Serenity area and had up to 10 - 12 people in the hot tub. No one seemed to tell them that there were to many people in the hot tub and they would not leave the hot tub for others to get in.

Our room stewards were superb! They were very helpful, friendly, and really took good care of our stateroom.
Ship Quality

Everything was pretty clean and well- maintained. They did have a issue in the ladies bathroom that connected to the pool and the hallway that led to the buffet / lido deck. The bathroom had water leaking from the sink onto the floor and the one toilet was not working properly. Other than that everything else was very clean and well maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom

LOVED our cabin! Loved having a balcony. The couch that pulled out into a bed had a broken part under the couch. The closet has a closet light out. We did call maintenance and they did fix the light but they did not fix the couch.
They weather was not so great. It was chilly and rainy. Prices in the Bahamas were pretty high. I think it would have been nicer if the weather was better.
Amazing Island. We did not do a excursion. We brought our own snorkel, googles, and flippers and we went snorkeling just from the beach. We had a great time snorkeling and we saw so many different kinds of tropical fish! Several people stated that they did a snorkel excursion and they didn't see that many fish like they later did right from the shoer line. We are happy that we did not pay for a snorkel excursion. The items to purchase on the island were very pricy. However, it was a lovely Island and we did enjoy it!
