Review summary

I was very disappointed with the cruise. I also only received 100.00 of the 150.00 on board credit I was advised would be received. I honestly feel taking advantage of and as though I wasted money.

Food and Dining

The food was not very good on the Ecstasy. The staff in the dining room and some at the buffet were fairly rude. There were some friendly staff members but most of the staff in the main dining room and buffet were rude or just unfriendly.

Onboard Activities

The Ecstasy did not have many activities or things to occupy time. The scavenger hunt was scheduled and in the fun times. The crew member did not show up for the activity nor did the other staff members have any idea why the activity did not occur.

Entertainment

The stage shows that were not cancel were good. Due to the rocky ship and the speeding captain, the cast could not perform some shows due to they were unable to stand.

The crew members responsible for Camp Ocean and Camp O2 were awesome!!! My children thoroughly enjoyed!!!

Service and Staff

The waiters and some of the ship personnel were very rude. Our room steward Eko however was amazing. Very attentive, kind, and a joy. He made up for the other staff members.

The ship is an older ship. For the most part the crew attempted to clean but the ship is rusty and really may need to be retired.

Ship tip

Take or get motion sickness patches!!!! I was very ill and several other passengers were as well. The captain was speeding. The ship was rocking and very unstable. Unlike any ship I have been on. On the social media websites as well as people on the ship all had the same concensus : the waters were not that rough. The captain was speeding. I would suggest a different cruise ship. I truly feel I did not get my money worth.

My husband and I were on the Ecstasy in May and loved it. Maybe consider going outside of hurricane season. We didn't have any problems with rocking or motion sickness and there was always plenty to do. We never had any of our events cancelled. As a matter of fact, we would have to move quickly from one event to the next because they filled up so fast.

This is happening more and more with the OBC I was informed that if you book through a third party you will need to have an invoice through the agency but from carnival with the OBC on it as some people have been refused there's...
