Nice trip. We had read a lot of horror stories about the Dream and traffic between Houston and Galveston. We had no issues with the crew, the ship or transportation. We would sail the Dream again.
Next cruise is in October on the Spirit.

The shuttle from HOU to the dock took less time than we expected. It took about 30 minutes to get on the ship once we arrived at the port. Very smooth!

The food was good. Service was pretty slow in the MDR. We did not do any specialty dining this time. Chrisann at the coffee bar was great.
Onboard Activities

Lots to do. One show was cancelled and one was scaled back due to tech issues. We especially liked the Motown show even without the tech. It was more like a concert.

Two stage shows were cancelled or scaled back due to tech issues. The shows we saw were good.

We never saw or met our cabin steward, but he did a good job. The waiters seemed overworked.
Ship Quality

The Dream class ships are easy to navigate. The ship was clean and in good repair. We had one issue in our cabin that was resolved quickly and professionally.
Cabin / Stateroom

Clean and well-serviced inside cabin. Lots of storage and a comfortable bed. The AC did not get as cold as we would have liked.
Ship tip
Be patient with your fellow passengers. About 50 cabins did not do the self- muster. Lots of people showed up to the shows late and stood in the aisles blocking the view of those who were there on time.
Overall, a "chill" attitude will serve you well.
We were on that cruise as well. You described things exactly as we experienced them (to include the warm cabin). Not sure what’s going on there. Great review!
