Review summary

The Dream is a beautiful ship which will be dry docked for refurbishments. It has the new paint and design on its hull which overall will make her one of the best in Carnival’s fleet.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
I was so happy to see that passengers in wheelchairs were allowed priority embarkation. This did not happen in July at the terminal in Galveston.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
There were plenty of choices for everyone. Self-serve was the norm. 24hr. ice cream was very popular in three flavors-vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Guy’s Burgers is still everyone’s favorite.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We love trivia so we competed when we could. There, we met people who enjoyed it too and made friendships that we would not have made. Walking around the ship, listening to live bands, sitting on our balcony, enjoying the hot tubs and the top-notch entertainment filled our days onboard. Loved every minute!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Top notch entertainment!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. They made us feel special by taking extra care of our needs.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The way this ship was designed made it easy to quickly learn where you were at all times. It was clean and sparkly. Christmas was in the air and in the decorations throughout the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was very clean. Everything was in working order until we noticed that the mini fridge was not cooling. That problem was taken care of right away with a replacement of what looked like a brand new one. The sheets and comforter were soft. The pillows were extremely comfortable and soothing. The mattresses aligned to your specific body type. I’ve never slept so well even with my sleep apnea.

Ship tip

Relax and enjoy this beautiful ship.Get to know the staff and thank them for what they do.

Ports of call

Disembarkation

Easy! It is a masterful work to see a well-oiled machine as one group disembarks and another embarks. Wow!

We enjoyed our stay on the Dream during our Thanksgiving cruise. We noticed our fridge didn’t get cold either, but we propped the cabinet door a bit which helped some. We opted to bring our yeti cups filled with ice back to the room daily
