We had the Cheers package and I felt it was such a complete waste. You couldn’t use it until the second day not even for soda. Just to get a soda you had to go to a bar and get one can of soda at a time. We didn’t bring our own on because we thought it wouldn’t be needed since we had the drink package, but when you just wanted a drink while hanging out in our room we had to go all the way to the bar to get a drink. Also the drinks in room service weren’t included in the cheers package. The food at the buffet during dinner was not good. We enjoyed the food at the other restaurants. Some of the bartenders were rude.

Ship tip

Bring sea sickness meds. Stay on the boat in Progresso. Don’t waste money on the cheers package.

People were way too pushy and ended up making us feel so uncomfortable we just went back to the ship after just getting off for a short time. It was super packed with it being Mardi Gras.

Yes the drink package cant be used for the first day, but since you dont get on so early anyway it is probably a good thing. They do not charge you for the first day either. If they did the drink package the first day, you are looking at like another $120 added for the drink package, I would rather pay for a couple drinks the first day than pay the extra $120ish for that day.

Nice ship

As a whole it was wonderful.

Love my cruises with Carnival. Please work on the sewage smell in hallways.
