Shortly after embarking there was a medical emergency with one of the guests on the ship and we had to return to Galveston. The crew kept us up to date on the incident and got us back on our was as quick as possible.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
With not knowing what to expect, it went extremely smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The dining room food was not at all what I expected. It was dry and tasteless. The specialty restaurants and buffet were great. Good food and lots of choices.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
It was still a little cool for the pool, but we did enjoy the game shows, Deal or No Deal and BINGO.

Entertainment

We didn't go to any of the shows.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
My daughter is 11 and they were geared for the younger kids. She was bored and only stayed for 15 minutes.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Yogha was our steward. He was the highlight of the trip. Called us by name and was just a jewel. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Everything was nice.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The bed was a little uncomfortable. Like being at camp all over again. The size was okay for a first time cruiser. The cabin was very clean and Yogha did a great job at keeping it so.

Ship tip

Know the layout of the ship and get an oceanview room.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

Cozumel, Mexico

We did the land and sea excursion. It was great and low key. We were cut short a few hours due to an emergency on the ship shortly after embarking so we didn't get to go to the beach as planned.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
This was really painless. We had been given tips prior to sailing so we knew what to expect.

@GospelCruiser - I agree with the original poster; the dining room food on this cruise was terrible, and I really hate to say that. Many people got up and walked out during their meals. We tried it for two nights then opted for the specialty steakhouse and the deli the other two nights. I love cruising and going to the dining room with my family every night is one of my favorite parts of cruising. Unfortunately, this one sucked as far as the dining room goes. With all due respect, Not every comment or opinion on here that isn’t rainbows and butterflies means that people “love to complain” - sometimes it just is what it is and I appreciate people’s honest opinions, it’s why we all come to this app, right? 😉 Hope the next cruise dining experience is better for us! This is the first bad one I’ve experienced on a cruise but I can attest to the fact that is was pretty terrible. 🤷🏼‍♀️
