Review summary

Great for a family cruise, lots to eat and do for kids under 10. Teens seemed bored. Unless you drink a lot and over eat, not much for adults either. Found on ship activities to be boring. Food was average, literally impossible to get in a hot tub..which were lukewarm not hot the one time we were able to fine one with space in it for 5 minutes before a little kids jumped in and started play fighting. Other adults remarked the same. Pools were small. This was our 8th cruise, first and last on Carnival. Not impressed. The manipulation of the overall star rating is not reflective of this cruise. It is not a 4. It's a 3 at best

Embarkation

Most unorganized port ever. Once inside it was fine

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Mediocre at best. A few items stood out, but overall I would have been happy to eat anywhere else. Pizza and the Pig and Anchor were excellent though the Pig and Anchor was not open every day.

Onboard Activities

Boring. I live trivia but these were not organized well and were boring. So many kids activities, so if you have kids, probably a great cruise. Fitness center is okay, crowded. Very limited space to do free weights without tripping over another person. Whirlpools were packed with rowdy kids from early morning till 11pm except in the adults only area where there would be 10 people sonwe didnt use them. With so many whirlpools it would be nice if they would have adult use time. Pools were small.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Country singer was very good, ad was most of the lobby area musicians. The rest of the shows were very elementary

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Probably the best cruise if you have little kids though terrible for teens. Most looked quite bored

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Very nice staff

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Was clean and well maintained

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
No complaints, was clean and bathroom was a good size. Only 2 notes: you better be short to use the blow dryer as it is attached through a drawer and it was very difficult to dry mohair and I'm 5'4....and the make up mirror in the bathroom is so high I had to stand on my tip toes and it was still too high to really see into.

Ship tip

Be prepared for a lot of kids. If you want a family cruise and just want to feed and entertain them this is it. If you want excellent cuisine and a relaxing time in the pool or hot tub, forget it.
