I had a great time! It was too short (5-day) but just enough time for my 9 y/o son (1st cruise trial). My husband and I usually cruise alone and focus on everything adult oriented but this time we focused on all the kid activities available and still had a blast. Our cruise director, "Donkey" was awesome!

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
All the eating areas were always clean. Guy's burgers are always a hit. The MDR, sea day brunch and buffets were hit or miss with food quality. We attended Dr. SEUSS breakfast for first time and that was fun and food was good.
Onboard Activities

We didn't get to do any on board activities.

Children's Programs

My son loved the Dr. SEUSS breakfast and the towel animal puppet show. We didn't utilize the Camp programs.
Service and Staff

Our room steward Howard was so nice and did an awesome job!!
Ship Quality

Carnival Dream has the usually layout and you gotta figure out which floors to take to get to the front or end of the ship. We were assigned late dining in the aft MDR and our room was at the front of the ship, which was kinda inconvenient that we weren't assigned to the lobby area MDR. But on the upside it helps getting to know the ship decks and working off dinner:)
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
I loved our Oceanview Deluxe cabin!! We've always booked an interior stateroom and wanted to splurge a little for my son's first cruise. Our room was located on Deck 1 at front of ship. We would sit on the large window sill and watch the waves and flying fish.
Always love visiting Cozumel. The port is a nice walk and always welcoming. There is plenty of shopping and eating. If you didn't book an excursion, a cab/van is easily accessible to catch and drive you to any beach...Paradise Beach or Mr. Sancho's are great!
I wasn't crazy about this port but our buggy ride excursion was great and the guides were awesome! The ride to the Mayan ruins and pink lagoons however wasn't very nice. Our first buggy broke down and the guides tried to fix it but wound up switching us out to another car. We drove our buggy's on the main highway which wasn't scenic and there were areas with stagnant stinky lakes....and the sun and summer heat YIKES!!😓 But other than that, our guides provided good historic information on Mayan culture at Xcambo ruins, we saw flamingos and salt lagoons, and stopped at Silcer Beach for lunch and swimming.
Awesome!! awesome! awesome!! Along with having FTTF, we didn't check in our luggage the night before to be able to carry it with us. We were one of the first 10 people to get off the ship. By 8am we were in our car and headed out of Galveston.
The Yucatan (Progreso) excursion was AMAZING BEACH BUGGY, MAYAN RUIN & BEACH ESCAPE. The team guides were quick in helping us and the other guests out when needed. 😊
Glad you enjoyed your cruise. We were on the Dream in May of this year for the first time. We did the 7 day cruise. Enjoyed every minute of it. It was 25 of us.
