Good organization made it quick and everyone was friendly
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The buffets were well stocked and they had lots of variety. My favorite place to eat was the Blue iguana, their food and salsa bar was outstanding. Formal dinner was good but they didn’t wow me with the service or food selection, the buffet had about the same thing as formal meals. We had room service bring breakfast ever morning and they did awesome!!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There was always something fun to do. I loved the Carnival app because it keep me informed of what was happening. We went to a free Michaels craft event, free hairstyle demo, trivia, kariokie,
Entertainment

Stage shows were alright but didn’t seem as elaborate as other cruises we had been on.

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room Stewart was Jay Jay, he learned our names quickly and meet all our needs. The room was cleaned twice a day and he worked around our schedule without complaining. He was awesome!!! Overall the staff was very friendly and made our trip wonderful. Morning room service was flawless, unlike other ships we have been on.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was very clean and we saw lots of cleaning going on daily. The morning we walked out to the pool and ever chair had towel animals was a WOW moment for us, that was impressive!!! They had three elevators which made getting around so much easier than the other ships we have been on with only two.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The room was a good size and the balcony was wonderful. Our cabin was always kept very clean by Jay Jay.
Ship tip
Morning room service was one of my favorite things.
The New Orleans port is very congested so we always take a taxi from our hotel. The cab cost about $8/person and drops us off under the cover. Cruise employees are outside under the cover taking your checkin bags. The lines inside to check your passport and boarding pass moves well with minimal standing, then everyone sits in numbered sections and wait to get on the boat. All the workers are nice and helpful!
Port was clean. We went to an all inclusive resort, Paladium, very fancy and felt safe, beach was crowded and we had to hunt for chairs. customer service was not as good as I expected. We had to wait an hour after we got there to get beach towels because they run out. We had to look around for the buffet because it wasn’t marked well. The staff stood around and talked to each other more than helped the guests. But after we figured out where everything was and we got towels and food it ended up being a nice day.
We rode tender into port and Waited there for excursion, which was not marked so we had to ask several people before we finally found our guide. We went on snorkeling and stingray trip. The stingrays were amazing and loved every minute of that. The snorkeling was not good because the waves were so big it was difficult to snorkel but the crew on the excursion did en excellent job of Keeping everyone safe.
The port was clean and had good shopping spots. We caught a cab and went down town to eat lunch and walk around. Felt very safe and it was easy to catch a cab ride back to ship.
We had to get out of our room about an hour before we got off the boat so we sat in the large theater and waited for our number to be called. We had to get our number the day before off a board on deck 5, the smaller the number the sooner you get off. We found our bags quickly and moved through checkout smoothly. It took about 30 minutes from the time our number was called until we were sitting in a cab heading back to our hotel.
great review, thank you! look forward to being on it next Febr, by the reviews, sounds like a nicer ship than any we been on and we were satisfied with all of them. blueiguana is one of my favorites too, and guys burgers.
