We had a great time and enjoyed the warm weather. We always knew what was going on and we kept busy when we wanted too but were able to relax.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
It was pretty chaotic. We had a lot of luggage and had to wait for a porter to help us. I wish they could do separate hubs for arriving and departures.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The drinks were wonderful. The food was ok but not much variety on the buffet. We are at Pasta Bella once and it was very good but we didn’t eat at any other specialty restaurant.
The food was good but not much variety.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We played mini golf, went to several comedy shows, played trivia games and went to the dance parties on the Lido deck. There was almost always something going on. We love to just sit on the Lido Deck, have drinks, enjoy the music and relax.
I did not go down the big slide but several people did and they all complained about how bad it hurt their back. My 9 yr old grandson had bruises and scrapes across his shoulder blades.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the 80’s show and watched some comedy shows. The music was always good and it was a good variety.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
They seemed to enjoy the entertainment available. They did not go to the kids clubs, they stayed with us adults and had a good time.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The first night was hectic for them. I understand how busy they were so I didn’t say much when I ordered a couple of extra pillows. Someone brought them the next evening. The rooms were clean and the staff was always pleasant.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
This is probably my biggest complaint. They have an open casino that you can smoke in. You either had to walk through the casino to get to
Some of the events/dining room/restaurant or go up or down a deck and go around. The smoke about chokes you and then your clothes stink just from walking through the casino.
The casino should be at one far end if the boat and only have an outside entrance to keep the smoke from filtering through the whole deck.
The rest of the ship was always kept very nice and clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Beds were very comfortable. The size could have been a little bigger, even a couple of inches would have helped but I knew what I was in for when I signed up. The cabin was very clean.
Ship tip
If this is your first cruise, I would recommend doing a 3 or 5 day. 7 days is quite awhile when your not enjoying yourself. Always get prescription ear patches for sea sickness even if you think you won’t need it. Better to error on the side of caution because once you get sick, you’ll be miserable the whole cruise.
I loved the port, could use public restrooms. We did an excursion that took us to the top of a pretty steep mountain. We had traveled a ways but there were no restrooms and we had to go in the bushes, which a lot of us did but it was really hard for the older women.
The people in Roatan were very pushy and I thought, rude. Constantly in your face trying to sell you things even after you tell them no, they come back several more times.
I loved the beach and the nature park where we got to hold sloth’s, birds and monkeys.
Did not disappoint. It was beautiful, the people were very friendly and helpful. We did the excursion where we swam with sharks and sting rays. We had so much fun, the guides were wonderful, the food was delicious. A true tropical island e patience when we went to Caye Caulker island. Can’t say enough good things about Belize!
Cozumel never disappoints. Lots of shopping and excursions. It’s a bit commercialized but it’s always nice. People are friendly and it always appears to be clean.
