This was my first cruise, and my wife’s second one. From her tales of her first one, this did not meet the expectations I was hoping for. And she even said it was not as great or fun as her first cruise. I also heard many negative comments from other passengers aboard on everything from service, pools and tubs, to dining hours. The elevators were constantly messing up, skipping and bypassing decks, forcing people to wait sometimes 15 mins for a elevator or take the stairs, or even grab one going up, just to be on it when it goes down and vice versa.
Embarkation

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
I am a night owl, and not much was open after 10pm or so to grab a meal except for the pizza place.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Tried to enjoy the pools and hot tubs/spas during the day, but they were full of young children. In the later evenings they were all closed.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Funny, musical, and entertaining. The cruise director was the best verbal.
Children's Programs
My kids have grown. This was to be a relaxation get away from the hustle, and bustle of every day noise and stress.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our room steward was exceptional. The dining staff was great the first night, but after did not order drinks, it was as tho we were not as important as Rhône that did. My wife ordered a coffee with her desert and never received it.
Ship Quality

Very nice.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Was very comfortable. Except for the noisy playing children from next door, and the night crew working 1deck up sounded like dragging furniture around at 3 AM. Cabin was nicely well maintained and serviced to meet our schedule
Sorry to hear that you didn't like it. We have never experienced or seen all the bad things you write about the Dream. It's one of our favorite ships, actually. It's a beautiful ship. The staff gave superb service, from the dining room, to the room stewards and well, everyone. They treat you like kings and queens and well, like family. The food was really good, with plenty of choices. It was so nice and clean. In fact, you saw staff constantly cleaning. There was plenty to do as well. We were never bored. Not sure who these other passengers were that were complaining, but I find that a little hard to believe, unless it was just the usual couple of complainers. Our family would go back on the Dream in a heartbeat. In fact we are in a couple of days (Feb 3rd). Can't wait!
Wow! I’m sorry to hear this about my favorite ship! I absolutely loved every minute on the Dream. And the Dream class ships are the best in my opinion. Well you should try out another ship just to see if you’d like it better
Will probably find it's not the lift playing up it's the kids playing up pressing all the buttons shame you couldn't have just enjoyed your vacation and cruise as every cruise is different but all have been amazing ...
