The only thing that could have been better had nothing to do with Carnival but rather with the passengers. I think that a cruise is an opportunity for ALL kinds of people with ALL kinds of interests and preferences to find enjoyment in a single ship. I certainly don't participate in nearly all the things that others might enjoy and that is great. There is something for everyone and I think that should be respected. With that said, I was disappointed that many passengers don't also have this view. I am speaking specifically about the Main Dining Room on Elegant Nights. My wife and I love to dress up, eat exotic foods and enjoy the conversation with out table mates. Why can't people simply either submit to the rules about Elegant Dining or eat somewhere else? Why can't someone like myself enjoy what I specifically enjoy about cruising without feeling odd? I feel it is a matter of respect. I don't want anyone to not be respected but I also want to feel respected in this one area.

All the restaurants we ate in were very good. We especially enjoyed Guy's Burgers as well as the BBQ! Of course, every evening was a wonderful experience in the Main Dining Room.

Cabin / Stateroom

Perfect size and extremely comfortable for my wife and I. The balcony is always a great place to hangout and just watch the world go by. Especially liked the USB ports on each bedside table.
This was a great stop even though I had reservations about even getting off the ship given the reviews I had read. I had read that you would be overwhelmed with people trying to sell marijuana and that there was NOTHING to see just off the ship. Actually, I never was approached by anyone who made me feel uncomfortable and met some very friendly people just off the ship in the shopping area....just off the ship! There was a strong police presence and we never felt anything but safe. I think Montego Bay has gotten a bad rap. It was our favorite stop on the cruise!
No excursion but lots of shopping. It was very different from Jamaica as one would expect. Again, friendly people and no worries about safety, etc. A beautiful day!
We enjoyed shopping and walking around this port. We had been previously so didn't do an excursion. The shopping was great and felt a little pressure but nothing bad. The merchants were eager to sell and willing to negotiate. Didn't feel crowded at all even though there were 6 ships in port.
Im one that doesnt enjoy dressing up for elegant dining BUT I respect that the event is what it is so dress accordingly its not hard. 😉week of March 24th see me all glammed up! Happy Cruising!
I'm looking forward to my cruise in April. I have two cocktail dresses I'm excited to wear on formal night but now I'm wondering if I'm going to look out of place if I wear them. 🤔
I agree but I'm afraid we are fighting a losing battle. It would be nice to at least have one dining room or a section even where elegant attire is enforced. Some people just insist on wearing whatever they want wherever they want to be so it is tough for the cruiselines to make everyone happy. I wouldn't mind doing away with formal altogether but when it is formal night I will dress accordingly.
