Review summary

This was my first and last cruise. I was not impressed by this experience. The food was just ok. Ports got cancelled or rushed. There was very little activites to do on the ship. Not a good ventilation system on the ship casino. So if your not a smoker be prepared for the smell.

Melbartel is entitled to their opinion just like everyone here. I have expierenced all that they listed as well, so their points have some validity. Cruising isn't for everyone.

I think some people go on vacation and spend the whole time looking for stuff to complain about. I think that's their entertainment

Been on several cruises, problem is that there is more to do than there is time. There is always something going on some where. Are you sure you left your room? πŸ˜ƒ Never had a problem with the food...EVER. One time in the restaurant, we ordered dessert, when it showed up our waiter didn't like it. We thought it was fine, however he didn't. So he himself went to the kitchen and brought us out another dessert. Where in the hell are you going to find service or food like that? As far as the ports go, as soon as you find a cruise line that can control the weather, you be sure to let all of us know. The Dream was the last cruise we were on and we loved it.

Sross0652. My husband and I went on the Dream this past Christmas and loved it. Never take a cruise during hurricane season. You could be good and there is plenty to do. And the food is good. Plenty of choices.

I've cruised the past three times in August. Next Year's cruise is also in August. Hence the reason I purchase CFAR Travel Insurance. I have been lucky in not having to use it.

I agree we cruise every Dec and we love it. You have to make your vacation fun, I know we do. But my husband and I are more social..

Although cruising is not for everybody, I would strongly suggest trying it again outside of hurricane season. We are avid cruisers, and I refuse to book between June and Oct. Out preferred time is Nov and Dec, and the weather is phenomenal! If you were not happy with the entertainment and food on that ship, try another one. I find it’s a shame to miss out on all the possibly great vacations, until you try at least twice.

1. don't cruise during hurricane season which is why ports were rushed or cancelled. 2. did you read your fun times? bingo, scavenger hunts, all white party, 80s party, trivia, comedy shows, karaoke, sing alongs, live bands, ping pong...very little activities? 3. you didn't do your research before you cruised. smoke filled casino is a well known nuisance. 4. food... you mean main dining room, restaurants, buffet, pasta place, bbq...ALL food wasn't to your liking? πŸ€”

I agree Anabelle, besides the breeze! Those are two good ships!!

The Dream is the best Carnival ship I've been on. The crew was great! The rooms have more space than the smaller boats too. I don't remember smoke either, but I don't like the casinos, maybe thats why.
