Review summary

This was a great cruise to take with a large group of couples. It had lots of things to do for everyone. Both together and separate. Dinner was great. Each port offered something different yet exciting.

Embarkation

It was ok. Not to crowded. We arrived very early. The shuttle from the airport was a little confusing at first on where to catch it.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The dining room was beautiful. The staff were friendly and entertaining. The menu had lots of options with every day favorites. The seaday brunch was one of thr best options. The Buffet was great and includes a Chinese Resturant and chocolate extravaganza

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pools. The adult serenity area. Mini golf had a really fun course pirate themed. Larger than a previous ship. My husband loved the fitness center and jogging track.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The DJ was great at the club. The Comedy club comedian stole the show. The family show and adult show were over packed every night. The singer in the atrium had an outstanding voice and song all the hits. I will say the stage shows were not as entertaining as a previous cruise but still good. The classic "Love & Marriage" with couples from the audience was great. Won't want to miss it.

Children's Programs

Did not travel with children this cruise

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Room service was good but the wait times were long. The room steward wasn't very personable and seem irritated at the simplest request. What saved the day was the dining room staff who were very friendly and put on a great show every night. As well as the room steward from down the hall who always greeted us and made us laugh. Though not assigned to our room

Ship Quality

It was a beautiful boat.

Cabin / Stateroom

The room was a good size. More closet space then exspected. Would have given 5 stars but the Balcony was not over looking the ocean, which to me is the point. Instead it over looked a sun deck. It took away the privacy you want for a balcony and made for a noisy sitting space instead of serenity. Would have not book this room. At least at night they did try to remedy it by closing off the deck after 12am but still wasn't the same as a good ocean view and breeze.

Ship tip

Go to the comedy club early if you interested in a show because it was small and ran out of seats quickly leaving people standing or not able to get in at all

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana Did not visit port

Flew in but did not visit any place outside of the airport. Ate at Dooky Chase in airport. Food was great.

Montego Bay, Jamaica

We did not book an excursion but found it easy to find local taxis at port. Did light shopping within walking distance. Used internet for cheaper than boat. Took a round trip taxi to beach and activity park called aquasol. It was amazing. The food was great and not very expensive. Fresh sugar cane and you could snorkel or ride a glass bottom boat or ride a jet ski. Would love to visit again

George Town, Grand Cayman

Even though it rained that day. The island was so much fun. We had to ride a small boat to the island but the wait wasn't long. We walked a short distance around and found a small shopping area like a fare where you could buy local made items and post cards etc. Then we took a shared taxi van to the 7 Mile beach. It was beautiful. You could see all the boat in the background and it had several Resturant resorts that included pools and hot tubs. Grand Cayman Island is a bit expensive, so be prepared or book an all inclusive through carnival

Cozumel, Mexico

Still my favorite port. The port did not require any transportation. It made for great photos with the boat. It had lots of food and shopping in walking distance. We booked an all inclusive excursion at Isla Pasion Island. We took a boat ride over. The staff were fun and informative. The scenery was beautiful. The island it self had a beautiful beach. Hammocks in the water. A blow up obstacle course and many activities like basketball, arts and carfts, swings and a trail path to follow around the island. Wish I had brought my children along because it had lots to do with kids. They also had a buffet with local food and fruits and an open bar. Can't wait to go again.

Disembarkation

It was fast because we decided to carry our bags off so we didn't have to wait. It was very smooth. We got to the airport ahead of schedule with Carnival shuttle.

NICE when on a cruise you can do group things, yet have time for yourselves. Sounds like fun!
