Review summary

The staff works VERY hard to make your cruise a five star experience.  Joel, our cabin steward helped even after I had fallen over a suitcase.  He quickly got a bag of ice for us.  Nan, Ketut, and Rulelito had us feeling like we were being served by friends who knew our likes, and they even showed interest in what we had done during the day.  They called you by name - that is impressive.  Every 7 days learn the names and interest of the people you serve.  Cleaning of the ship was going on all the time.  It was "ship shape".

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
There was a lot of variety. They even have items on the menu for vegetarians.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the pool. Near the pool you could slip out to eat or get a drink. Very convenient.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We did not go to any of the shows. We are early to bed and early to rise. We were celebrating our 50th anniversary. However, the pool areas and resting on deck were great.

Children's Programs

N/A - Two old people - no children.

Service and Staff

Nan, Ketut, and Rulelito - what a team. They were off the charts for service and being friendly. You can only hope to have them taking care of you!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everywhere I looked I saw someone cleaning. The hot tubs were treated daily. The decks were washed. This crew works hard to give you a great experience!!

Cabin / Stateroom

Costs more, but the view was very pleasant. Joel took great care of us. Always a gentleman.

Ship tip

We found that the clothes line in the shower was very helpful. I would take fewer sunscreen shirts and pants. They was out easily and dry overnight. Pack lighter and enjoy the cruise.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

Easy to eat as a vegetarian. Loved the history. We do not drink, and we found the noise from those who were drunk and loud, on the street until the early hours of the morning, disruptive to sleep.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

We brought our own fins and snorkels. My husband would take them with us if we did something similar in the future. The equipment required a suitcase. You need to weigh the extra suitcase against using your own mouthpiece and fins that work. We wore booties - A must where there is coral.

Belize City, Belize

We went to Lamanai. Elvis lead our group. Great energy! He gives an bit of history as you go by bus. We then take a boat ride to the ruins. It was a hot day. Take LOTS of Water. I took 2 20oz containers. I could have used one more. My husband took the same and thought 2 20oz containers were adequate.

Cozumel, Mexico

If you have a good camera - take it to the Mayan Ball Game and Mexican Dancers. Video is also worth it.
