Review summary
The cruise was fun, although it was quite a long haul from the time of departure (Sunday a.m. to Wednesday a.m.) before our first stop in Honduras. I would like to have made use of various seminars, during the travel time, but every seminar was just a sales pitch. "Look 10 years younger" was a sales pitch for Botox/Restyline injections in the spa. Same think for "Get flat abs" - sales pitch for a supplement. Didn't bother going to others. The shows were ok, but nothing extraordinary. This is definitely a family-oriented cruise, suitable for young kids. The buffets were great, and Guy's burger never disappointed. Excursions were fun, but VERY short visit to each location. One retail store, and one jewelry store. I don't lay out in the sun, but things to do (that didn't involved the casino) was very, very limited. Would not recommend if you're expecting an upscale environment, or for newlyweds. But again, Carnival is a budget-friendly cruiseline.
