Review summary

i would recommend a cruise on the Dream. The cruise director was fabulous. The food was great. The only criticism is if you don't book your excursion through carnival they treat you like a second class citizen, and don't make sure you get off the boat if tendered.

bed's not comfortable, very hard.

Ship tip

When they tell you that you cannot save your deck chair, they do not enforce so you will lose out if you follow the rules.

Well thank god we did not run into anything like that, we had smooth sailing on both excursions. Part the pun, but both guarantee you have a great time.

Only problem with the Resort for a Day guarantee is that they can guarantee it all they want. But if something happens making it impossible for them to get you back in time for sailing then you are simply out of luck. The ship is going to sail without you. If the same scenario happens in a Carnival booked excursion then the ship will wait on you. Think of the extra cost as "peace of mind insurance"

I just returned from a 7 day cruise on 12 March. I booked my excursions with Resort for a Day. They are cheaper and last longer than Carnival, I had no problems at my Ports. Some people go with Carnival because they guarantee that you will be back on time, but so did Resort for a Day.

Our Carnival booked excursion in Grabd Cayman last year was the most unorganized excursion we've ever taken. That was our only disappointment of the whole cruise.

That's one reason that I book through the cruise line. And I have always had good experiences. Maybe I paid a little more but I've always been satisfied â£ï¸â£ï¸

It's not so much second class citizen. It's because they take a cut of the Carnival booked excursions payment , they give them customers higher priority for the tenders. I look at it as a perk for paying the extra. You can counteract that next time by buying faster to the fun if it is available, that gives you priority tender boarding but the cost of it may not be worth it to you.
