Review summary

My mother was overcharged $2000.00 on our cruise.  I heard from ten others with same problem.  I stopped using my sail and sign card and just used cash.  Customer service and casino staff did nothing about it saying computer shows her taking out the money but i was with her and know she only played with 1000.00 and was charged 2900.00.  They also charged me 90 a person in my cabin of 3 and my aunt 90 who stayed in cabin with my mom but charged my mom 190.00 for gratuity.  So if you want to take this cruise i would keep a close eye on your account.  I wont be returning.

You can also have your gratuity removed and pay what ever you want. I agree that I think they were not paying attention when gambling and continued to charge against their card.

i think she means in the casino they used cash instead of s&s - isn't that the only place you can use cash?

Never credit*

This is why I always put cash on my sign and sail card, never cash. If I wanna put more money on my sign and sail, I'll put more cash on using the kiosks they have around the ship. I've heard about this happening way too often with credit cards.

If she was using a credit card for sail and sign card there might have put a hold on her card. That happened to me but was taken off at the end of the cruise. It will show that more was charged at first.

They can make mistakes it happen to me an extra $25 charge from dinner when purchasing bottle of wine. I checked my account everyday & I caught the mistake right away & went to guest services to have it credited.

We check our S&S everyday and go to the desk and add cash to cover it plus extra. We leave owing $0.

I check my account on the kiosk many times throughout the cruise. That way, I can settle any discrepancies immediately. I know sometimes things don't hit your account until you leave but luckily we haven't had any issues so far.

I tjink what happend Momma went on a cruise. Went to Casino and got happy, because clearly states was with her and she spent 1000. Howver Momma got happy and either kept using her ssil and sogn card or the banker. They want let look at tapes but can dispute but alwsys in favor of them... Had similar issue on last cruise it was just 20.00 dollars but they swore before god we used it... that was the 1 cruise i was sober... lol

Yeah, last year was my first cruise and they did not take cash, you use sign and sail card only. Can use cash in ports but that isn't anything to do with Carnival.

They don't take cash but you can put cash on your sail and sign account instead of a credit card.
