Review summary

carnival continues to cut corners.  fewer and poor shows.  only place for good service is in dining room and cabin stewart--where tip is expected.  sea day brunch service is bad.  no sugar free ice cream on lido.  has been suggested before.  does carnival care?  ever with platinum status you get no price break.  i have traveled over 100 days on carnival but have never recieved an upgrade. considering other cruise lines.

If we can't get along while on vacation in a floating city with unlimited food and fun, then what hope do we have for our everyday lives? Can we end the bashing and get together for a cold one by the pool?

i will be doing the same @pmkeating1972 in December! they deserve at least 10 more dollars a day! we have always given extra right up front and we are always well taken care of!!!!! this will be my 3rd cruise and i love carnival and the food and service!

That's my whole point. You go on vacation with an upbeat attitude and fun demeanor as opposed to looking for every little negative thing to point out. I completely agree. indydannyt seems to think I'm the negative one. Now that's a personal attack since I'm using your name now. See the difference? :)

@mel54321 i been on Norwegian, Royal Caribbean and Carnival. Just go on that cruise with an upbeat attitude and fun demeanor and you will be OK.

People always find something to complain about. Yes, they're entitled to their opinion, but how about trying to look for the good? You're on vacation!! Things may go wrong, but you're on freaking vacation!!! Stay home if you're a perfectionist. Not everything can go right 100% of the time. So quit complaining.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, observations or thoughts on the subject matter. No one should be against this freedom of expression, however no one should want to hurt, be vulgar or bully a person because of their opinion. It unfortunately happens sometimes and is uncivil. I think as I have heard somewhere, we agree we can disagree. Take care, and whatever cruise line you sail on ENJOY!

Personally I don't think the OP said anything out of line. They obviously are an experienced cruiser, and simply stated their observations. I have doon many cruises and have seen differences between trips and companies. It is true, just like most businesses today, they try to do more with less, and we sometimes expect more than we get. I think this forum helps people make informed decisions and share thoughts. Bullying can be flagged, blocked, or ignored.

This person has a valid opinion, once again this particular thread has bullying. I never see this on the other ships threads .. very strange . Since when is it unacceptable for someone to have an honest opinion?

The day we Board our ship, I ALWAYS palm our steward $100. We always have EXCELLENT SERVICE. I take care of my bartenders and drink runners and I never seem to lack for service!

Agree gellmore;;;;; don't understand folks booking something an then getting upset for not getting freebies . If they want a suite then book it. As far as cabin upgrades I have had balcony cabins at many different locations on the same deck but have always found that the cabins are exactly the same. Even though they are stated to be 1 or 2 upgrades. The upgrades are location and deck when bookin

I have booked on line since 2004 and I have never had a problem with Carnival. I have also had a travel agent or Carnival agent book my cruise. No problem. But more importantly I have been on 22 cruises and just love Carnival, the Fun Ships and the crews. I have never had bad service either on the sailings and ships either. I have been on other lines since 1978 and enjoyed them too. Enjoy 😊🛳

I have never had an issue,with carnival. Enjoyed my cruises and everyone was great. But of course we have booked through an agent. Going in November.

That's why they can keep the price down. We changed to other cruise lines after 240+ days with them. Enjoy 😎
