Review summary

Jamaica gave us the creeps. Poverty, dishonesty, and crime are depressing.

We will never make a cruise with Jamaica as a port of call.

On board attentions, food, environment very good. Evening shows very poor.

We visited Croydon plantation, it was a great excursion, we never felt in danger, blue mountain coffee, 25 different kind of pineapple, Jamaican jerk dinner with peas & rice,sugarcane , very educational.. can't wait to go back. booked this excursion with carnival. cheers!!!

Jamaica is just like any island country, you have to be careful of your surroundings. This is our second time there and we booked an excursion to an all inclusive resort for the day which is 20 min away. the first time we climbed the waterfalls in ocho Rios.

My family and I have been to Jamaica three times twice on a cruise and we stayed there a week last April. We completely disagree the resort we stayed at we was welcomed with open arms and staff was great. All excursions we have taken was amazing. It is unfortunate yall's experience wasn't as great. There are bad places in every state in this country. We love Jamaica

We will also stay aboard the ship on our upcoming cruise. We always felt like we needed to be looking over our shoulders.

Your sentiments of Jamaica seem to be fairly common. We do have a Dunns Riber excursion booked for our upcoming cruise, but have received several helpful tips.

We will be going there next month for the 3rd time and we agree to a certain extent. We will just stay on board and enjoy a nice quiet ship. We aren't big on all inclusives but Hilton Rose Hall is nice. If you take a ship excursion I think you avoid a lot of issues, but most of them are a long ride away and expensive.
