Review summary

This was my wife and I first Cruise. It was really overall not bad. The crew made you feel you were on a vacation. The crew knew how to make you relax and have fun. There was quite a bit you could do on the ship while at sea. The spa was great the staff there was A+. We had purchased the week private VIP spa that had the steam rooms, hot chairs, and Jacuzzi. This was nice because there were a lot of kids on board and there were not allowed to be in there adults ONLY. We did get a couple of massages Ashleigh and another young lady forgot the name did an awesome job 90 mins of relax time and you feel great when you get off the table. Have to say we went back again it was that nice. Our room Stewart was Habibie. He did a great job letting us know of the great things on board and made us feel we were first class. He took 100% care of us did up our room made animal figurines out of towels on our bed. You could not asked for a more awesome man. What was also nice he knew our names on the first day and never forgot on our trip. Now for some things that need to be addressed; 1. The fine dining was not impressive the food was crap. My wife ordered fish with macaroni and cheese and they served her what might be a table spoon. Really! 2. I ordered a steak, I had to smother it with A1 just to try to eat it. I ate about 3 bites and still couldn't eat it. So for the rest of the week we ate at the buffet and sandwich bar and others there on the ship. 3. There were two pools on the 10th deck of the Dream. There were so many kids on board that the adults could not use the pools. Carnival needs to make the pool in the center of the ship for the kids a family and the pool at the rear of the ship adults only. Don't get me wrong I love kids have two myself, however, if you are out only as a couple you want to have a little R&R. The forward part of the ship on 12 deck was nice as well you could lay out and it was private adults only. The miniature golf was fun too. My wife is a Triathlete so for her to keep up on her training was not bad by her standards. They had a running track on the ship and a gym. She was really impressed with spin class that was conducted by Daniel & Sean. They made a great workout and my wife says it was one of the best spin classes she has been in for some time. Even better than in some states that we travel to. Like I said it was not a bad trip we both gave it an 8 out of a 10 for overall experience. The excursions were fun as well. We didn't have anything planned for Jamaica and found a resort when we got off the ship it was a great and fun day. Cayman Islands was the same, however, we just walked to the different shops through town and enjoyed ourselves for the day nice place. Last but not least Cozumel Mexico was just as fun we rented a scooter and did our own thing and it was a beautiful ride. You don't have to make plans for excursions we did ours on the fly and got them cheaper and had a blast. I would recommend this cruise for couples or for family it all depends on what you want for a cruise.

For us we travel in a RV. So for our room it felt as if we were in the RV. However, It would have been nice to have a window or deck but we were only in our room to sleep.. Now the beds need to be improved Motel 6 has better. Our room Stewart was Habibie. He did a great job letting us know of the great things on board and made us feel we were first class. He took 100% care of us did up our room made animal figurines out of towels on our bed. You could not asked for a more awesome man. Ship tip

Don't be in a hurry for anything when on the ship. There is alot of people on board. And as always there is rude people on board as there is anywhere. Be nice and polite and those will notice.
