great time

Sail Date: July 25, 2011

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

The ship is nice and clean but the look is out dated. The pool is way too small and always full of yelling children. The bar staff is super nice and will make any drink for you. The dinning room staff is also real nice and the food is good. The towels need a heavy dose of fabric softener.

Pros: we loved the drinks and the dining room dinners

Cons: not a big fan of the buffet and the all you can eat icecream was not made with cream. It was more of a flavored ice. Also did not really like the way they are always trying to sell you anything and everything 24/7.

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED)? No.

Entertainment
Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Cabin / Stateroom
our toilet stopped working on the last day and nobody ever came to fix it even after we called several times.
Service and Staff
the bar and dinning room staff are great. The buffet dessert staff need to learn the dessert menu....
Nassau, Bahamas
Finally we got to see something other than carnival merchandise. Book your excursions once you get off the ship. The locals offer better deals for the same trips.
Don't Miss: The straw market and just walking around talking to the locals.
Grand Turk Island
great beach but we wished we could see more of the island and not be limited to the area mapped out by carnival. The food at the only restaurant we had access too was nasty and overpriced.
Don't Miss: The beach and the pool.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
it like you never got off the ship. Because this is a private island they give you the same food, gift shop items, drinks, ect. as on board. The beach is great.
Don't Miss: Seadoo...wow that was a blast...would do it all day
