Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food and service at the sit down restaurant was great! We almost never ate buffet because the lines were endless and there was not much variety!

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Very few options. Unless you like sitting to listen to live music or enjoy night clubs there is very little to choose from. This was our 4th cruise and we spent more time watching TV on this cruise than ever before. They need to have more live shows!

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
My 15-17 year olds (3) LOVED the nightclub/group activities. THeir counselor kept them involved in activities they enjoyed. Even though they could come and go as they pleased they wanted to hang out with their new friends the entire time. The same could not be said for my 12-14 year old (1) He was also allowed to come and go as he pleased and the counselor offered "free time" so the kids could run wild on the ship, which he loved but I hated. The counselor seemed to be glad to get a 'break' from the kids and encouraged them to leave.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone on board was exceedingly friendly. The stateroom attendants learned our names and greeted us everytime they saw us. Even attendants who weren't helping us greeted us everytime we passed by.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The staterooms were larger than we expected - we were all comfortable.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
We loved Atlantis, but it is a little over rated. I'm glad we visited, but probably won't be back.

Grand Turk Island

3 out of 5
The stingray/snorkeling was hardly worth half the $60 we paid, but the kids loved it because they saw a sea turtle.
Don't Miss: Nothing, couldn't see anything Carnival didn't set out in front of you.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
I loved relaxing on the beach - clean blue water!! They also offered free BBQ so that was great, because they could have tried to charge for it!

Pros: Half Moon Cay private island

Cons: Not enough activities on ship

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED) 28? No.
