Overall a nice cruise!

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Although the ship has been refurbished some parts are still dated looking. Overall the food was pretty good and the service in the dining room was very good. Cruise staff were friendly and responsive. There was a large variety of things to do. We did three excursions (one at each port) and really enjoyed all of them. They were well organized and the staff from the companies that conducted the excursions were friendly, helpful, professional, etc. This was our first cruise and although we definitely saw room for improvement in some areas, overall we had a good experience. We definitely plan to cruise again but will try another cruise line next time.

Pros: Our balcony room on the spa level.

Cons: Dinner buffet the one night we didn't do the sit down dinner.

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED)? Yes!

Grand Turk Island
We did the catamaram and snorkeling excursion which was also great. The staff on the catamaram were fun and really looking out for everyone to make sure we were safe. The water was beautiful and the beach too. We did a bunch of snorkeling which we loved.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
We did the horseback riding excursion which was great. It was a little scary when we went in the water because the waves were big and really knocking everyone around. But overall I would definitely recommend it. The beach was beautiful and the food and facilities for lunch were well organized.
Nassau, Bahamas
Must see Atlantis resort. We did the dolphin experience and it was great. Very pricey but worth it. We hung out at the resort and enjoyed the variety of pools, water slides, etc. the remainder of the day.
Don't Miss: dolphin experience
