Great Time!!

Sail Date: March 02, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Oceanview

This was our first cruise and we are so happy that we chose this particular one. There was always something to do on the Destiny and the crew was ALWAYS so friendly and helpful. Some even seemed like they were having more fun then we were. We would definitely cruise with Carnival again. As a matter of fact, we are planning another cruise with them for next year.

Pros: Friendliness of Crew

Cons: Can't think of anything

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
The ship is obviously a little older but is still really nice and clean. We felt very comfortable in our cabin and in the public areas.
Food and Dining
The food at the sit down dinners are to die for! So delicious!
Cabin / Stateroom
We loved our stateroom. It had two large picture windows and a small sofa to sit on. Plenty of closet space and a steward who was always smiling.
Service and Staff
Very willing to help and always smiling. They would even remember what I was drinking when I went up to the bar.
Entertainment
We enjoyed the entertainment quite a bit. There was always something to do and Darcy was a blast.
St. John's, Antigua
The vendors are a little aggressive in Antigua but the beaches are wonderful.
Basseterre, St. Kitts
Our favorite island. The locals are supremely nice and the beach was beautiful.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Horseback riding was a blast.
Dominica
Definitely visit the rainforest if you get a chance.
Bridgetown, Barbados
Snorkeling is amazing!!
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Meagans Bay is beautiful and relaxing!
