Great cruise trip in general and we enjoyed. Great staffs onboard, and great services.
Embarkation

Good in general. Didn't like the security check that we had to line-up against the wall with our carry-on bags lined-up in front of us for the dog to sniff-check. Made us feel like refugees or illegal migrants waiting to be processed. little bit of confusion looking for the required checked-in station onboard. Signs and locations were confusing.

Food and Dining

Dining room menu and food not as good as my previous few Carnival cruise trips years ago, but still decent. Breakfast buffet is the same everyday, not much selections.
Onboard Activities

Entertainment
3 out of 5
Stage shows not as good as my previous few trips onboard Carnival. Show programs same style daily, no variety. Same as the violin girls at the main lobby. They are very good but played the same type of music everyday, no variety and gets boring towards the last day of the cruise.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We had a group of 8 dining in the restaurant daily. Our main waiter/server Putra is exceptional, nice and patience and attentive to us, and always with a smile on his face. All 8 of us are very happy with his service. My wife had also expressed our compliments in person to his boss.
Our room attendant Gunarsa (Room 6369) is also very nice and attentive to our questions and needs. He did an excellent job keeping our room clean everyday.
Ship Quality

Public restrooms not conveniently located near main dining restaurants, theaters, buffet areas... Way too many photo vendors along the casino walkway (the only passage from forward to aft) that they are kind of blocking the road, and kind of annoying.
Cabin / Stateroom

Room interior is better than expected in terms of comfort, size, and cleanliness. Thanks to our room attendant Gunarsa taking care of it. However, it's so noisy once inside our room. We heard loud music and people yelling and party noise all the time even through midnight. Very frustrating at times.
Thank you for the review, over all it sounds like you had a good time. It’s sad that Carnival had to start screening with the drug dogs. The few who feel entitled to break the rules have made this happen.
The line up dog sniffing thing is fairly new. In a year or so, all cruise lines will be doing it. By then, the dogs will be trained to sniff as you go by, like at some international airports.
